Paris Airports

Paris's busiest and most famous airport is of course Charles de Gaulle, which is in the commune of Roissy–en–France – in the city's north–eastern suburbs, 21 km (13 miles) from the centre.

The commune that gives its name to Orly Airport is 13 km (8 miles) south of the city.

The airport that's "branded" as Paris–Beauvais Airport is near the city of Beauvais, in the commune of Tillé – 85 km (53 miles) north–north–west of Paris. By way of comparison, Luton Airport is 45 km (28 miles) from central London in the same direction (i.e. north–north–west). If you were on the M1, 53 miles from central London, you'd be well past Milton Keynes (44 miles) and well on the way to Northampton (63 miles).
